About the Artist
Laura Fay Wood Cavaliere
Realistic Nature-Inspired Fine Artist
Laura Fay Wood Cavaliere is a self-taught fine artist whose realistic landscapes, wildlife paintings, and nature-inspired artwork reflect a lifelong appreciation for the beauty of the outdoors.
Raised in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado, Laura discovered her love of art at an early age when her mother gave her an easel. That simple gift helped nurture a creative interest that would remain with her throughout her life.
Over the years, Laura explored her artistic abilities through soft pastels, pencil drawings, and personal artwork created for others. Although art had always been part of her life, it wasn't until more recently that she began seriously pursuing acrylic painting on canvas.
Her first canvas painting was a portrait of a hunting dog, created from a reference photograph for a family acquaintance. Having spent years hunting with her husband, Joe, Laura felt a personal connection to the subject. She offered to paint the dog as a gift, hoping the experience would also help introduce others to her artwork.

That first painting marked an important turning point. Inspired to continue improving, Laura began studying the work and techniques of other artists, practicing her skills, and developing the realism, detail, and atmosphere she admired.
Another significant turning point came through the encouragement and expertise of her granddaughter, Ashley, a business strategist and founder of Devmar Strategies. Recognizing the potential in Laura's artwork, Ashley helped transform her artistic passion into a business. She created the original website templates, established the LwoodScapes Shopify store, and laid the foundation for Laura to begin sharing her paintings with a wider audience.
With Ashley's guidance and the continued encouragement and support of her husband, Joe, Laura gained the confidence to take a more active role in building her business. Today, she continues learning, refining her artistic skills, and working toward establishing LwoodScapes as a recognized fine art business.
Laura lives and creates in Williams, Arizona, surrounded by the forests, mountains, and wildlife that continually inspire her paintings.
Working primarily in acrylics on canvas, she draws inspiration from cherished memories, outdoor adventures, quiet country living, and the natural beauty of the American landscape. Some paintings begin with her own photographs, while others emerge entirely from imagination.
From the delicate details of wildlife to the soft light falling across a mountain landscape, Laura strives to create paintings that invite viewers to experience a sense of peace, nostalgia, and connection with nature.
Her artistic accomplishments include recognition at local fairs and county exhibitions, where she has earned multiple awards, including first-place ribbons and Judge's Choice recognition. Her artwork has also found homes with private collectors.
Yet for Laura, the greatest reward comes from the emotional connection someone feels when viewing her work. Whether a painting brings back a cherished memory, captures a familiar landscape, or simply offers a peaceful moment, she hopes it brings something meaningful into another person's life.
"I believe God gave me a talent, and that talent shouldn't be wasted. I hope my work makes people feel something real. If it brings them happiness, I've done my job."
